Omaha Estate Cleanout

Services

Every estate cleanout, junk removal, or move looks a little different — that’s why we offer four related services that can stand alone or work together, depending on what your home and your timeline need. Here’s what each one covers.

Estate Cleanouts

An estate cleanout usually starts at one of the hardest moments a family faces — settling a parent’s or loved one’s estate after a death, helping someone downsize into assisted living, or preparing a family home for sale. We treat these jobs differently than ordinary junk hauling, because the house is full of decisions, not just belongings.

We start by walking the property with you — or with a family member, executor, or agent standing in for the family — to understand what needs to leave, what should be set aside for relatives, and whether anything is worth considering for an estate sale before we begin. From there, our crew sorts room by room: debris goes to proper disposal, usable furniture and household goods are set aside for donation, and anything that looks like it might carry sentimental or resale value gets flagged for you rather than boxed up and hauled off without a second look.

Once everything is sorted and removed, we leave the property broom-clean and ready for its next step — a final walkthrough with a realtor, a family gathering to close things out, or simply locking the door for the last time. You can be as involved as you want: some families go through every room with us, others prefer to check in only at the end. Either way works, and there’s no rush on our end.

Junk Removal

Not every job is a full estate — sometimes you just need a garage, basement, shed, or single room cleared out fast. Our junk removal service covers general household junk, old furniture, mattresses, broken appliances, yard waste and storm debris, boxes of miscellaneous belongings, and the kind of accumulated clutter that builds up over years in any Omaha-area home.

In most cases, we can quote the job from a few photos or a quick walkthrough and complete the haul-away in a single visit — no need to bag things up or drag them to the curb yourself. Our crew handles the lifting, loading, and hauling, and we sweep up afterward so you’re not left with a mess where the junk used to be.

We’re happy to work around your schedule, whether that means an early pickup before work, a weekend visit, or coordinating with a contractor or cleaning crew who’s also working on the property. If you’re not sure whether something qualifies as junk removal versus a full estate cleanout, just describe the situation when you request an estimate — we’ll point you to whichever service fits, or combine the two if that makes more sense for your project.

Donation Hauling

A lot of what comes out of a home during a cleanout or downsizing move is still in good, usable condition — it just doesn’t fit the next chapter. Furniture, housewares, clothing, books, working small appliances, and similar items in good shape are set aside and routed to local donation centers around the Omaha area rather than sent straight to the landfill.

We sort for donation as part of every cleanout and junk removal job, so you don’t have to make item-by-item decisions under pressure. If you’d like a specific piece — a parent’s dining set, a set of tools, a box of books — to go to a particular charity or a family friend instead of our usual donation partners, just tell us during the walkthrough and we’ll route it accordingly.

If your donation qualifies for a tax receipt, we’re glad to provide documentation of what was donated so you can pursue that with the receiving organization — just let us know in advance so we can keep track of item counts and condition as we go. The goal is simple: keep usable things out of the dumpster, and make it easy for you to feel good about where they end up.

Estate Sale Liquidation

When a home still holds furniture, antiques, collectibles, tools, or other items of real value, it’s often worth liquidating them before the final cleanout rather than donating or discarding everything outright. We help families and executors organize and run an estate sale so those items get a fair chance to sell before the property is cleared.

We work with you to set a timeline that fits your situation — some families need the whole process, sale and cleanout included, wrapped up in a week or two before a closing date; others have more flexibility and want time to research and price things properly. Either way, we coordinate the sale dates directly with the cleanout crew, so there’s no awkward gap where the house sits half-sorted, and nothing gets hauled away before it’s had a chance to sell.

After the sale wraps up, whatever didn’t sell moves into the same sorting process as any other cleanout: donation, disposal, or a final check-in with the family about anything worth keeping. It’s a natural next step for estates with meaningful contents, and we’re happy to talk through whether it makes sense for your property during your free estimate.
